It is a medium-full gran toro measuring 6 x 60, wrapped in Mexican San Andrés maduro over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with an oversized pigtail cap. It ships in a black collector box marked with a green jack-o'-lantern.

Wrapper and Filler

The San Andrés maduro wrapper brings the deep color and natural sweetness, while the Nicaraguan binder and filler supply the earth and spice underneath. Viaje doesn't publish exact leaf details for its seasonal cigars; the wrapper and core here are as retailers have listed them for this release. San Andrés has a history in the Full Moon line, most recently on the 2023 Edición Limitada.

The Box-Pressed 6 x 60

The 13th Anniversary is the first Full Moon offered as a 6 x 60; the 2025 release measured 5 x 58. Pressing it square makes the big ring easier to hold and helps the dark wrapper burn evenly. Set aside an hour and a half or more. The round version of this cigar is the regular Maduro.

Flavor and Strength

Expect dark cocoa and espresso from the first draws, followed by cedar, earth and toasted nuts with a warm baking spice through the center. Black pepper rises late without crowding out the maduro sweetness. Body and strength land at medium-full.

Flavor notes: Dark cocoa, espresso, earth, cedar, toasted nuts, baking spice, black pepper.

Release History

Viaje's first Full Moon came out in 2013 as 400 bundles of 24, and the series has returned most autumns since. For the anniversary, the regular releases (round Natural and round Maduro) come in orange-pumpkin boxes, while the box-pressed Limited Editions get green pumpkins and smaller allocations.

Who It's For

Collectors completing the 13th Anniversary set, maduro lovers, and anyone who prefers a pressed cigar will get the most out of this one. It is a good after-dinner cigar with something sweet or aged in the glass. Coffee pairings: Espresso, Mocha, Dark roast Sumatra, Café con leche, Cold brew. Spirit pairings: Añejo rum, Bourbon, Tawny port, Armagnac, Highland Scotch. Keep extras in a humidor at 65 to 69 percent.

Box: black collector box of 24 with a green jack-o'-lantern

Release: 2026 Limited Edition, smaller allocation

Shape: box-pressed gran toro, oversized pigtail cap

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this compare to the regular Maduro?

Same size and wrapper, but this one is box-pressed, made in smaller numbers, and packed in the black box with the green pumpkin instead of the orange one.

Which 13th Anniversary versions are box-pressed?

Only the two Limited Editions, this Maduro and the Natural Limited Edition.
