Aladino Candela cigars are made by JRE Tobacco Co., the Eiroa family's company, at Fábrica de Puros Aladino in Honduras. The line is a Honduran puro with a green Candela wrapper over Corojo binder and filler, and it is medium in strength.
The Aladino Candela Blend
Candela is a curing method, not a seed. The leaf is cured quickly with heat, which locks in its chlorophyll and leaves the wrapper green. JRE makes this one from Corojo seed, over Honduran Corojo binder and filler from the same farm.
History and Production
Julio Eiroa was a major grower of Candela tobacco when the style was at its most popular. JRE introduced Aladino Candela as a Robusto in 2023, and the Toro followed in 2024. It is a seasonal release, timed around St. Patrick's Day, in boxes of 20.
Aladino Candela Sizes
TRP Cigars carries Aladino Candela in one vitola: Toro (6 x 50). Each is sold as a single cigar, a pack of 5 or a full box.
