Ecuadorian HVA Wrapper
The Mayura Pyramid wears an Ecuadorian-grown HVA wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder. The original MBombay MQBA was an all-Ecuadorian puro, and Mayura keeps that Ecuadorian wrapper and binder as the base of the blend.
Where Mayura departs from the original is the filler, which uses tobaccos from Paraguay, Peru and Nicaragua. That makes it a multi-country blend rather than a puro.
For the other sizes in this line, see TRP's MBombay Mayura collection, or browse the full range of MBombay cigars.
Pyramid Format, 6.0" x 54
The Mayura Pyramid measures 6.0 inches with a 54 ring gauge at the foot. A pyramid is a figurado: the body widens toward the foot and the head tapers to a point, which sets it apart from the straight-sided Mayura Robusto and Toro.
A 54 ring gauge is roughly 0.84 inches in diameter. The tapered head lets the smoker choose how much of the cap to cut, and a smaller cut concentrates the smoke through a narrower opening.
Medium - Full Strength and Listed Flavor Profile
TRP lists the Mayura Pyramid as MEDIUM - FULL strength. The strength classification describes the intensity of the tobacco and is separate from the cigar's individual flavor notes.
TRP's listed profile includes earth, coffee, cream, orange citrus, cedar, roasted nuts, dried fruit, and pepper. These notes represent the product's listed tasting profile rather than a manufacturer-published tasting progression.
The earth, coffee and roasted nut notes give the listed profile its darker side, while cream, orange citrus and dried fruit add sweetness and lift.

Tabacos de Costa Rica
MBombay cigars are made at Tabacos de Costa Rica for Bombay Tobak. Costa Rica is an uncommon country of manufacture among premium cigars, most of which are rolled in Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic or Honduras.
The MQBA Mayura line is produced at the same factory as the brand's Gaaja, Kesara and Mora lines.
Medium - Full Pyramid for Experienced Smokers
The Mayura Pyramid suits adult cigar smokers who prefer TRP's medium-full category and want the Mayura blend in a figurado shape. It is a reasonable choice for an after-dinner cigar and for smokers who want more body than a Connecticut-wrapped blend offers.
For pairing, the listed flavor profile works alongside bourbon, aged rum, Highland Scotch, anejo tequila, or Cognac VSOP. For coffee, TRP lists medium roast Colombian coffee, cappuccino, French press, cortado, and Costa Rican pour over as pairing options.
Store the cigar in a properly maintained humidor with stable temperature and humidity rather than exposing it to repeated environmental changes. A stable storage environment helps protect the wrapper and maintain the cigar's intended condition until it is ready to smoke.
TRP's Shipping and Cedarhurst Lounge
TRP Cigars is a New York retailer founded in 2005 with a physical lounge in Cedarhurst, New York. The store offers its cigar catalogue online and maintains a dedicated lounge location for customers who want an in-person retail experience.
TRP's shipping policy states that standard shipping is free on qualifying orders over $99, while orders over $500 require a signature. Shipping is available within the United States, subject to the exclusions stated in TRP's shipping policy.
