Viaje Full Moon 13th Anniversary is the 2026 edition of Viaje's Halloween cigar, released in four versions that share one size: a 6 x 60 gran toro with an oversized pigtail cap. Two are round regular releases, a Natural and a Maduro, packed in boxes marked with an orange jack-o'-lantern. The other two are box-pressed Limited Editions of the same pair, made in smaller numbers and packed under a green pumpkin. All four are medium-full, Nicaraguan-made, and sold here as singles, 5-packs or boxes of 24. Below you'll find how the four compare, what separates the wrappers, and how to choose.
The Four 13th Anniversary Cigars
The Viaje Full Moon 13th Anniversary Natural is the round cigar with a Nicaraguan Corojo '99 wrapper. It comes in a white box with an orange pumpkin and leans toward cedar and black pepper.
The Viaje Full Moon 13th Anniversary Maduro is round as well, but wears a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper. Its black box carries the orange pumpkin, and the profile turns to dark cocoa and espresso.
The Natural Limited Edition keeps the Corojo '99 wrapper but is box-pressed, with a white box and a green pumpkin.
The Maduro Limited Edition pairs the San Andrés maduro wrapper with the box press, in a black box with a green pumpkin.
Side-by-Side Comparison
| Version | Wrapper | Shape | Box |
| Natural | Nicaraguan Corojo '99 | Round | White, orange pumpkin |
| Maduro | Mexican San Andrés maduro | Round | Black, orange pumpkin |
| Natural Limited Edition | Nicaraguan Corojo '99 | Box-pressed | White, green pumpkin |
| Maduro Limited Edition | Mexican San Andrés maduro | Box-pressed | Black, green pumpkin |
Every version measures 6 x 60, is rated medium-full, and ships 24 to a box. The binder and filler are Nicaraguan across the board.
Natural or Maduro?
The wrapper is the biggest flavor difference in this collection. Corojo '99 is a reddish-brown leaf known for spice, and on the Natural it brings cedar, black pepper, earth and toasted nuts with a light natural sweetness. San Andrés maduro is dark and slow-fermented, so the Maduro reads sweeter and richer, with dark cocoa and espresso up front and pepper arriving late. If you usually reach for peppery Nicaraguan cigars, start with the Natural. If you prefer cocoa, coffee and a sweeter finish, go with the Maduro.
Round or Box-Pressed?
The Limited Editions aren't a different blend. They are the same wrappers and core, pressed square. A pressed 60 ring gauge sits more comfortably in the mouth than a round one and tends to burn a touch slower. The Limited Editions also come in smaller allocations and cost more per cigar, which makes them the natural pick if you collect Full Moon. If shape doesn't matter to you, the round regular releases give you the same tobacco for less.
About the Full Moon
Viaje founder Andre Farkas released the first Full Moon in 2013 as 400 bundles of 24 cigars. It has returned most autumns since as one of Viaje's seasonal Halloween cigars, usually in October, and it changes from year to year in size, wrapper and packaging. The 2025 release was a 5 x 58 petit gordo with a Limited Edition counterpart. For the 13th Anniversary, Viaje moved to a 6 x 60 and split the release four ways. Viaje doesn't publish full blend sheets for these cigars, so the wrapper and filler details here follow how the release has been listed by retailers.
How Strong Are They?
All four sit at medium-full. The Maduro versions taste heavier because of the wrapper, but they aren't a big step up in strength. With a 60 ring gauge and six inches of length, expect a long smoke of roughly 90 minutes to two hours, best saved for an evening.
Singles, 5-Packs or a Box?
A single is the easy way to try one before buying more, and singles of each wrapper make a quick side-by-side. A 5-pack covers a few evenings or a small group. The box of 24 suits collectors and anyone who wants to age a few, since Full Moon releases change every year and rarely come back the same way. Keep boxes in a humidor at 65 to 69 percent humidity.
