Natura Friesian (6.0" x 52)

The Natura Friesian Torpedo is a 6.0" × 52 premium cigar featuring a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Broadleaf binder, and a multi-origin filler blend. TRP Cigars classifies this Dominican Republic-made cigar as Medium strength. Natura’s official blend description highlights aged wood, warm spices, and citrus, offering shoppers a more reliable flavor reference than the unverified notes in the previous product copy.

Product Specifications

Mexican San Andrés Wrapper and Broadleaf Binder

The Natura Friesian uses a Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper over a Broadleaf binder. Natura’s published blend details identify filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, the Dominican Republic, and Habano-designated tobacco.

This documented composition replaces the earlier speculative wrapper and filler descriptions. The wrapper is identified as San Andrés Maduro by Natura, while the binder and filler are specifically listed in the manufacturer’s blend information.

For shoppers comparing cigars by tobacco composition, the Friesian offers a combination of Mexican wrapper tobacco and a multi-origin filler blend. Its country of manufacture is listed as the Dominican Republic, distinct from the growing origins of the individual leaves.

The Friesian Blend: Aged Wood, Warm Spice, and Citrus

Natura’s official blend description associates Friesian with aged wood, warm spices, and citrus. These are the manufacturer’s published flavor references for the blend and provide a grounded starting point when comparing it with other Natura cigars.

The previous TRP copy also mentioned dark cocoa, espresso, earth, and pepper. Those notes are not part of the official flavor list reviewed for this version, so they should not be presented as manufacturer-confirmed characteristics without additional product-specific evidence.

Flavor perception varies between smokers and across smoking conditions. The available official description does not establish a detailed first-third, second-third, and final-third tasting progression for this Torpedo.

A 6.0" × 52 Torpedo Format

The Friesian measures six inches long with a 52 ring gauge. Its tapered Torpedo head distinguishes it from a conventional straight-sided format, while the listed dimensions make it easy to compare with other cigars in Natura’s Friesian lineup.

Natura offers Friesian in several sizes, including a 5.0" × 52 Robusto and larger formats. Comparing vitolas can help shoppers choose the dimensions they prefer without assuming that size alone guarantees a different strength or flavor progression.

Medium Strength: Understanding the Rating

TRP’s product-level strength field lists the Natura Friesian Torpedo as Medium. Natura’s official blend page describes the Friesian blend as medium to full. Because the descriptions use different classifications, the store’s product-level rating and the manufacturer’s broader blend description should be kept distinct rather than silently combined into a single rating.

Strength is also different from body. The available information does not establish a separate, independently verified body rating for this exact Torpedo size.

Shoppers comparing cigars by listed strength can browse Medium cigars and assess the blend details alongside the rating.

Pairing Ideas for the Natura Friesian

Natura recommends black coffee or whisky with the Friesian blend. These suggestions complement the manufacturer’s listed aged-wood and warm-spice profile without promising a specific tasting result.

Consider serving it with black coffee or a whisky you already enjoy. These are general pairing suggestions based on the manufacturer’s guidance, not a claim that one beverage will produce a particular flavor in every cigar.

Store the cigar in a properly maintained humidor, away from direct heat and significant humidity fluctuations. Use a cutter designed for the Torpedo’s tapered cap and prepare it carefully before smoking.
