Description
The Camp Aladino Maduro Gorbusto is a full short gordo measuring 4.5 × 60 from JRE Tobacco Co.'s Camp Aladino line. It wears a Maduro wrapper and is the strongest of the three cigars in the first Camp Aladino release.
Wrapper and Blend
The wrapper is a Maduro leaf. JRE has not said where it is grown.
The binder and filler are also undisclosed.
Format and Size
The Maduro Gorbusto is 4.5 inches long with a 60 ring gauge, which works out to 60/64 of an inch, or about 0.94 inch across. Gorbusto is JRE's name for the size, a cross between a gordo and a robusto: the 60 ring gauge of the first at close to the length of the second. All three cigars in the 2025 release share it.
Strength and Flavor Profile
This is a full cigar. Its flavor notes are dark chocolate, espresso, earth, black pepper, molasses, charred oak and leather. Dark chocolate and espresso come first, earth and black pepper follow, and molasses, charred oak and leather round it out.
Line History and Production
Camp Aladino is the visit JRE Tobacco Co. hosts for retailers at its farm and factory in Danlí, Honduras. The first Camp Aladino cigars arrived in 2025 in this single 4.5 × 60 size, in Cameroon, Corojo and Maduro versions, offered only to the stores that had made the trip.
In April 2026 JRE released those three blends nationally as Gorbusto by Aladino. The Camp Aladino versions carry the original Camp Aladino name and packaging.
Who It Suits
The Maduro Gorbusto suits smokers who want a short, thick cigar at full strength. Choose it over the Cameroon and Corojo Gorbustos for a darker, heavier smoke.
For coffee, it pairs with an espresso, dark roast Honduran, an Americano, cortado and mocha. For spirits, try aged rum, bourbon, rye whiskey, port and imperial stout. Keep it in a humidor at steady humidity until you are ready to smoke it.
