The Padron 1926 Series No. 2 Natural is a medium-to-full box-pressed belicoso measuring 5.5 x 52 from Padrón's 1926 Serie line. It is a Nicaraguan puro, with a Nicaraguan natural wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, all aged five years before blending. It is the only belicoso in the line, with a tapered head.
Wrapper and Blend
The Padron 1926 Series No. 2 Natural uses a sun-grown Nicaraguan natural wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos, all grown and processed by Padrón. Padrón ages the tobacco for the 1926 Serie five years before blending and describes the result as smooth, complex, balanced and full-bodied in flavor.
The natural wrapper is the lighter of the two shades and shows the cedar, nut and cocoa side of the blend; the same size is also offered with a maduro wrapper.
Format and Size
The Padron 1926 Series No. 2 Natural measures 5.5 inches long with a 52 ring gauge, about 0.81 inches in diameter. It is box-pressed, like every 1926 Serie size except the No. 90. Padrón lists it at 52 x 5 1/2 with a tapered belicoso head, which concentrates the smoke at the start. The No. 90 shares the 5.5 x 52 size but is round with a regular rounded head, and the 40th Anniversary is a longer 6.5 x 54 torpedo.
