Description
The ChiMolly Pangu Robusto is a Medium Robusto measuring 5.0 × 47 from ChiMolly's Pangu line. It pairs an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler, and is made at Mi Havana Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Pangu is the blend ChiMolly launched with.
Ecuadorian Habano Wrapper and Blend
The wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano, the leaf that defines the Pangu line. Beneath it sits a Nicaraguan binder around filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, so the blend draws on three countries while the cigar itself is rolled in Nicaragua.
ChiMolly publishes the blend at country level only. Seed varieties, growing regions and priming levels of the binder and filler are not disclosed.
Robusto Format at 5.0 × 47
The ChiMolly Pangu Robusto is 5.0 inches long with a 47 ring gauge, which works out to about 0.73 inches across. It is the smaller of the two regular Pangu sizes, slimmer than the usual 50-ring robusto.
The same blend is also rolled as the ChiMolly Pangu Robusto E at 5.5 × 52 and as the ChiMolly Pangu PCA 2026 Double Corona at 7.0 × 52.
Medium Strength and Flavor Profile
TRP lists the ChiMolly Pangu Robusto as Medium in strength. Reviewers of the Pangu blend report cedar, cream, toasted bread, natural tobacco, vanilla, earth and black pepper.
These are tasting observations from published reviews, not a manufacturer flavor sheet. ChiMolly's own description of its cigars centers on texture, in line with the slogan printed inside every box lid: "It's all about texture."
Pangu Line History and Production
Pangu is ChiMolly's debut line, first released in 2024. It takes its name from Pangu, the figure in Chinese mythology who separated heaven and earth, and it carries the brand's red band and white lacquered box. The Dynasty and Pioneer lines followed in 2025.
All ChiMolly cigars are made at Mi Havana Factory in Estelí, with blends credited to Zhuofeng Weng.
Who the ChiMolly Pangu Robusto Suits
At 5.0 × 47, this Robusto suits a shorter session. Its Medium strength keeps it within reach of most regular smokers.
For coffee, consider medium roast Colombian, cortado, café con leche, flat white or Americano. For spirits, bourbon, aged rum, Highland Scotch, Irish whiskey or reposado tequila are natural matches.
Keep the cigars in a maintained humidor rather than in the retail box if they will be stored for more than a few days.
