Description
The Camp Aladino Corojo Gorbusto is a medium short gordo measuring 4.5 × 60 from JRE Tobacco Co.'s Camp Aladino line. It is a Honduran puro under a Corojo wrapper, and it comes from the first Camp Aladino release.
Wrapper and Blend
The wrapper is Honduran Corojo, the leaf the Eiroa family is best known for growing.
The cigar is a Honduran puro, so the binder and filler are Honduran as well. JRE has not named the specific tobaccos.
Format and Size
The Corojo Gorbusto is 4.5 inches long with a 60 ring gauge, which works out to 60/64 of an inch, or about 0.94 inch across. Gorbusto is JRE's name for the size, a cross between a gordo and a robusto: the 60 ring gauge of the first at close to the length of the second. All three cigars in the 2025 release share it.
Strength and Flavor Profile
This is a medium cigar. Its flavor notes are black coffee, earth, toast, cashew, bread, cream, dried fruit and red pepper. Black coffee and earth come first, toast and cashew follow, and bread, cream, dried fruit and red pepper round it out.
Line History and Production
Camp Aladino is the visit JRE Tobacco Co. hosts for retailers at its farm and factory in Danlí, Honduras. The first Camp Aladino cigars arrived in 2025 in this single 4.5 × 60 size, in Cameroon, Corojo and Maduro versions, offered only to the stores that had made the trip.
In April 2026 JRE released those three blends nationally as Gorbusto by Aladino. The Camp Aladino versions carry the original Camp Aladino name and packaging.
Who It Suits
The Corojo Gorbusto suits smokers who want a short, thick cigar at medium strength with the earthy, peppery character of Honduran Corojo. Choose it over the Cameroon Gorbusto for a drier, less sweet profile.
For coffee, it pairs with an Americano, cappuccino, medium roast Honduran, cortado and café con leche. For spirits, try bourbon, aged rum, Highland Scotch, cognac and añejo tequila. Keep it in a humidor at steady humidity until you are ready to smoke it.
