What Is the Arturo Fuente Aged Selection?
The Arturo Fuente Aged Selection is the program through which Fuente releases its OpusX Serie "Heaven and Earth" cigars, rolled by Carlos "Carlito" Fuente at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and distributed by Prometheus. Each cigar wears a secondary band printed with the year it was rolled, and the cigars are aged before they are released. Most come in limited edition travel humidors made by Prometheus rather than standard cedar boxes, and a portion of every sale goes to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which supports children and families in the Bonao region near the Fuente farms.
The Heaven and Earth Series
Heaven and Earth began in 2017 and has added new cigars almost every year since. The wrappers are grown at Chateau de la Fuente, the family farm that supplies every OpusX, and many of the cigars come in both a natural and a maduro version. Several carry names tied to the Fuente family: El Escorpion and Scorpio for the birth sign of Arturo Fuente, Carlito's grandfather, and Tauros the Bull for the Taurus sign Carlito shares with his father.

How to Choose
- Trying the series for the first time: the Opus7 puts seven cigars, natural and maduro, in one humidor, and the Opus6 Blue covers six different shapes.
- Prefer a full-bodied, wide-ring cigar: Tauros the Bull Natural.
- Like maduro wrappers and shaped cigars: El Escorpion Maduro.
- Want a long, slow smoke: the 7.5-inch Rare Black Diadema 54.
- Buying a gift: any full humidor or box, since each arrives in Fuente's limited edition packaging.
Singles, 5-Packs or the Full Humidor
The single-size releases are sold here as individual cigars, 5-packs and full boxes or humidors of 10, so you can try one before committing to a set. The Opus6 and Opus7 are sold only as complete humidor sets. Aged Selection cigars are sold at their set price with no discounts.
Storing Aged Selection Cigars
These cigars are aged before they are released. The travel humidors keep them well for a short time; for longer storage, keep them in a full humidor at 65 to 70 percent humidity and around 65 to 70°F, and keep tapered shapes like the diadema and perfectos lying flat.
Arturo Fuente Aged Selection FAQ
What does the year on the second band mean?
It is the year the cigar was rolled. Fuente ages the cigars after rolling, so the band year is earlier than the release date.
Who makes the travel humidors?
Prometheus, which also distributes the Aged Selection. Each release has its own humidor color or finish, such as yellow lacquer or Macassar Ebony.
Are these cigars part of OpusX?
Yes. They are Fuente Fuente OpusX cigars from the Heaven and Earth series. You can browse the wider range in our Arturo Fuente Opus X collection.
Does any of the money go to charity?
Yes. A portion of Aged Selection sales goes to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation, which the Fuente and Newman families founded to support children and families in Bonao, Dominican Republic.
