Description
The Padron 1926 Serie Maduro Sampler puts four Padrón cigars in one box, one of each, all with the Nicaraguan maduro wrapper. Padrón created the 1926 Serie in 2002 for the 75th birthday of founder José Orlando Padrón, who was born in 1926. The sampler holds one each of the four original sizes. Every cigar is made by the Padrón family in Estelí, Nicaragua.
What's in the Sampler
- Padrón 1926 Series No. 1 Maduro, 6.75 x 54 box-pressed churchill. The longest cigar in the 1926 Serie. See the single.
- Padrón 1926 Series No. 2 Maduro, 5.5 x 52 box-pressed belicoso. The line's pointed belicoso. See the single.
- Padrón 1926 Series No. 6 Maduro, 4.75 x 50 box-pressed robusto. The short robusto of the line. See the single.

Blend and Wrappers
Every cigar in the box is a Nicaraguan puro with a sun-grown Nicaraguan maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler, grown and aged by the Padrón family and rolled at their Tabacos Cubanica factory in Estelí. The 1926 Serie uses Nicaraguan tobacco aged five years, and every size in this box is box-pressed.
Sizes in the Box
The four cigars cover the line's core shapes: the 6.75 x 54 No. 1 churchill, the 5.5 x 52 No. 2 belicoso, the 4.75 x 50 No. 6 robusto and the 5.25 x 56 No. 9 gordo.
Strength and Flavor
TRP lists the Padron 1926 Serie Maduro Sampler as medium to full in strength. The maduro wrapper pushes the profile toward dark chocolate and espresso, with leather, earth and a molasses-like sweetness.
Flavor notes: Dark chocolate, espresso, earth, leather, molasses, black pepper.
Who It's For
The sampler is the simplest way to taste several Padrón sizes without buying full boxes, and it makes an easy gift for any Padrón fan. Smoke them side by side over a few evenings. Coffee pairings: Espresso, dark roast, mocha, Cuban coffee, French press. Spirit pairings: Bourbon, aged rum, tawny port, rye whiskey, Islay Scotch. The box is not a humidor, so keep the cigars at 65 to 70 percent humidity if you plan to hold them.
