Description
The Arturo Fuente Rare Pink VS Black Pink Black Panther is a medium-full perfecto measuring 6.63 x 55, the largest cigar in Fuente's Black Pink line. A dark Connecticut Habano wrapper covers a Dominican binder and filler, and the cigar is rolled at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia in the Dominican Republic. It is also the only Black Pink size that has no match in the original Rare Pink lineup, so it's the one to start with if you want something entirely new from the series.
The Black Pink Blend
Black Pink is part of Fuente's Vintage 1960's Series, the same family as Rare Pink, but it is not the Rare Pink blend in a darker dress. The wrapper is a dark Habano-seed leaf grown in Connecticut, replacing Rare Pink's Ecuadorian wrapper, and the binder and filler are Dominican tobacco from the Fuente family's own farms at Chateau de la Fuente. That combination moves the profile away from Rare Pink's sweeter spice toward something darker and richer.
Format and Size
At 6.63 inches with a 55 ring gauge (about 0.86 inches across), the Black Panther is a full double-tapered perfecto, with a closed foot that opens up quickly to the widest point in the series. It is longer than the 6 x 46 Signature and noticeably thicker, and considerably bigger than the 5.5 x 53 Happy Ending. Set aside an evening for it.
Strength and Flavor Profile
Expect medium-full strength with enough balance that the flavors stay in front. Dark chocolate and espresso lead, cedar and a baking-spice warmth build in behind them, and earth and a soft creaminess come through as the cigar goes on. The extra length gives those later notes more room to develop than in the smaller sizes.

Release History
Fuente first showed Black Pink at the PCA trade show in 2024 and brought it back to the show in 2025 and 2026. The first cigars went to members of the Tobacconists' Association of America in March 2026, with a wider shipment to other retailers following in the fall. Production is small compared with Rare Pink, which is why so few shops carry the full set.
